Yesenia “Jesi” Leon-Baron

Project Coordinator

Jesi Leon-Baron serves as the AATTAP Region 1 Liaison, supporting the AMBER Alert Coordinators, Missing Person Clearinghouse Managers and Child Abduction Response Team (CART) partners in the Northeastern U.S.  Jesi also works with the AATTAP’s Southern Border Initiative (SBI) supporting the Alerta AMBER in Mexico with event/project support, communications and instructional services.  Jesi is an associate with the National Criminal Justice Training Center at Fox Valley Technical College.

From 1997 to 2012, Jesi served as a law enforcement officer, joining the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in 2000, working in the areas of investigating narcotics, organized retail crime, crimes against children, missing and abducted children. She served as the Coordinator for the Central Florida Child Abduction Response Team (CART). Jesi has also collaborated with various local police departments in investigating high-profile missing person investigations. Jesi has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University and a Master of Science degree in Organizational Management from St. Thomas University.
