Bio:
Lt. Vonyale Montgomery is presently a 24-years veteran of the Memphis Police Department. She has served in enforcement, preventative and administrative capacities ranging from duties involving criminal matters, safety/ security presentations and consulting, drug and gang youth education, and policy and procedure maintenance and accountability. She was recently assigned as Supervisor to the Domestic Violence Unit where she oversees 20 Investigators with an average of 50 cases a day.
Previously being assigned to the Commission on Missing and Exploited Children (C.O.M.E.C) she served as a Child Safety Specialist. She also formed and was instrumental in the certification of the Memphis’ first Child Abduction Response Team (CART). Missing Children –Dynamics & Response, Commercial Exploitation and Human Trafficking are just some of the trainings she has been afforded to attend in the area of child abduction and exploitation.
Lt. Montgomery also serves as a Training Associate for the National Criminal Justice Training Center and a former Instructor of Criminal Justice for the University of Phoenix. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Christian Brothers University, Memphis, Tennessee.
