Bio:
Ed Bertola is a sergeant with the California Highway Patrol. He has been with the CHP for 13 years and is currently assigned to the Emergency Notification and Tactical Alert Center (ENTAC). He has worked at ENTAC for the last four years and is a supervisor over all of the Alerts in the State of California. He is the lead Emergency Alert Instructor for the State of California. Sgt. Bertola has been involved in over 50 AMBER Alerts as well as many activations of the Wireless Emergency Alert System (WEA). He has served as a national panelist for the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System regarding the successful creation and use of the WEA in emergency situations. He is a member of the California Child Abduction Task Force.
