This tool for tribal law enforcement was developed for the US Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) by the AATTAP, in collaboration with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Office of Justice Services; and is designed to serve as a resource to first responders and investigators in the field. The checklist and guide are drawn from NCMEC's Law-Enforcement Guide to Case Investigation and Investigative Checklist, with input from experienced tribal investigators and cultural advisers.

PATROL FIRST RESPONSE
The Patrol First Response Checklist provides law-enforcement officers with information enabling them to react appropriately to reports of missing or abducted children.
INVESTIGATIVE OFFICER
The Investigative Officer Checklist guides and directs key communication and documentation tools that are critical for effective response to reports of missing or abducted children.
SUPERVISORY OFFICER
The Supervisory Officer Checklist offers guidance to promote information collection and coordination of investigative resources in response to reports of missing or abducted children.
